FiD was set up by Fiona Duggan in 2006. Using a combined background in architecture, constructivist psychology and business strategy, Fiona helps organisations and institutions find new ways to define, allocate, use and manage space. Her aspiration is for inspiring, productive and affordable environments that promote a strong sense of belonging while also providing flexibility to support ongoing change. Over the past 40 years Fiona has worked in design, teaching, research and consultancy roles across more than 220 organisations and institutions. Prior to establishing FiD, Fiona gained 20 years experience including workplace consultancy (DEGW, AMA), architectural teaching (University College London, Oxford Brookes University, Greenwich University, Birkbeck College London), architectural practice (David Chipperfield Architects, Avanti Architects) and overseas work (VSO, UNESCO).
